Well today was the first day of our school year which doesn't mean much because we school year round. What it does mean though is new textbooks for the girls.
Spelling curriculum was a hit, they enjoyed the workbook quite a bit and were even taking the initiative to tell Daddy how to spell the words when he got home from work. They loved drawing a hen and chicks for art and can't wait for another art class.
They didn't get the full experience of Science or Reading today because it was just your basic get to know the book day. They are looking forward to starting some actual reading tomorrow. Of course I have to wonder how long this zealous attitude will linger?
I am hoping they like the new handwriting curriculum tomorrow and that it will be as successful of a day as today was.
