Well the second day of school was a success also! It was our first time doing BJU Reading and the girls loved the story we were reading, unfortunately todays lesson only had us read half of it, the other half is scheduled for tomorrow. Even Katriana who struggles a little with reading comprehension found the story intriguing enough to follow along with the storyline.
Music today was a jam fest to the Sonrock Rainforest songs that they learned while at VBS this summer, it was just what they needed before they sat down for math. Science was a hit with learning the layers of the earth today. Even though spelling wasn't on the schedule today the girls wanted me to offer the "spelling city" on the computer for their center time, their wish was granted.
Tomorrow we move into our first day of Spanish, they are already looking at the "palabras en espanol" bulletin board and learning their new vocabulary. It's really funny to hear how they pronounce the words without having ever heard them.
I'm optimistic that this good fortune of the girls enjoying school may last into next week! Only time will tell.
