Today the girls were doing a lab where they had to make fossils. They had to make a cast and a mold. First step in their procedure was to gather all the materials they would need to make them, so far so good...
Next was to start following the steps of making their fossils. They were not expecting the plaster of paris to dry so quickly and one of them actually had to make a second batch.
Tomorrow will be the true test to see how their fossils come out when we tear away the styrofoam cups. They will then analyze their fossils and answer some follow up questions and make some conclusions about fossils. An exciting day in Science today!
