The girls found out today just how hard and tedious it is to be a paleontologist, a person who studies fossils. In their fossil dig they had to go very slowly so they didn't disturb the soil around the fossils or break the fossils. Once they found a fossil they had to uncover it using a skewer then map it on there "site map" so they knew exactly where it was found. After they were able to take it out of their excavation site they had to brush it off with a tooth brush and transport it to their study to make observations about the fossil. They each had four fossils to find in their excavation site.
Very cool idea! =)

Wish I could take credit but I can't... it was a BJU lab from the Science 5 text.
