Field Trip: Salem, MA

This was a "pirate boat" that the kids got to tour in Salem, MA. They were able to go "down below" also. They were amazed by the tiny sleeping quarters that the ship had. It was actually much more spacious than I would have imagined.

The girls and my nephew at the wheel of the ship scanning the sea for incoming pirates. This was one of there favorite parts of the trip, even though we hadn't actually planned on touring the boat, it was an added bonus.

This picture is of the captain from the pirate museum. He was posted just inside the entrance to the pirate museum. This museum was the overall favorite of the day. It showed what life was like on a pirate ship and gave some great images of how pirates lived.

The crew with their loot in the pirate museum. Each scene was wonderfully explained by the tour guide.
